Kings of Convenience have completed their third album, which will drop at “the very end of September” and be followed by a tour, according to this postcard they emailed to fans. Written in Bergen, Norway on June 8, the full text is below.

To: Kings of Convenience fans in Mexico, France, UK, Japan, USA, Sverge (Sweden), Italia (Italy), Spania (Spain), Portugal, Brasil, Indonesia, Finland, Holland, Russia, Tyskland (Germany), Switzerland, Ireland, Canada, Korea, Norge (Norway):

Dear FANS!

Good things come to those who wait. We know it’s taken a while but finally we are done with our 3rd album. It will be released in the very end of September and after that we will go on tour. 🙂 The album was recorded in studios in Italy and Bergen and in Erlend’s flat. See you soon!!!

Erlend & Eirik

Kings of Convenience are perhaps my favorite group of all time — percussive, neo-bossa nova guitar, Simon & Garfunkelesque harmonies, and a philosophy student’s lyrics sung with a non-native English speaker’s angular eloquence.

Have a listen and get excited!
