Mumford & Sons – “Sigh No More”

Wow. A little understated bluegrass morphs into a dramatic kick-drum anthem and I can’t take it off repeat or stop drumming my fingers.

Who wouldn’t love these words? Simultaneously nostalgic and uplifting.

Love
It will not betray you
Dismay or enslave you
It will set you free
Be more like the man
You were made to be

  1. Hey Todd,
You a Bon Iver fan? Just caught them at Paramount and Megafaun opened. This sounds really similar to Megafaun. You should check out both if you haven’t yet.

  2. Does that mean you liked it? :)

I’d love to see pretty much anyone at Paramount, Bon Iver enthusiastically included. I don’t hear much country in Megafaun, but I had “Find Your Mark” on repeat for a few days.

  3. yeahyeah LOVED it. Trying to find more of it now.
Megafaun was interesting as hell. I’m a huge Bon Iver fan and honestly, Megafaun’s opening set made BI *WORK* for it that night. Kinda like an “indie” version of Crosby, Stills, and Nash maybe would be my best description. With an “indie” enough vibe to not make it just for old folks :) They did a wicked version of their song “Worried Mind” with the Bon Iver guys, completely unplugged. I love it when artists do that and give that theaters acoustics a chance to shine.
